Privacy Policy

United States · Effective date: June 18, 2026

App & site: ProveEV (“the App” and this website).
Provider / data controller: Traverso Labs LLC (“we”, “us”).
Contact: [email protected]

This policy is written for a U.S. launch (CCPA/CalOPPA). It reflects the App as built: background GPS, anonymous accounts, and dealer lead-sharing on opt-in. See also our Terms of Service and how to delete your data.

1. Summary

ProveEV estimates how well an electric vehicle would fit your driving by recording your location while you drive and computing an “EV Readiness” score. We collect precise location in the background, basic profile details you enter, and — only if you ask us to connect you with a dealer — contact details we share with dealerships. We do not show ads, do not use third-party advertising trackers, and do not sell your data.

2. This website

When you use the forms on this site, we collect only what you submit: your email address if you subscribe to updates, and your name, email, and message if you use the contact form. We use this to respond to you and to send the launch and incentive updates you requested. We protect these forms with Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection) and do not sell this information. You can unsubscribe at any time, or email us to have your message and details removed.

3. Information the App collects

Location (precise, including in the background). While the App is running — including when it is closed or not in use — we record GPS points during driving to measure how far and where you drive. This powers your EV Readiness score, the map, and your dwell (regular-stop) locations. You consent to this on first launch and can turn it off anytime in your device settings.

Profile information you provide. Name, email, phone (optional), vehicle make/model/year, EV preferences, country of residence, and an optional local fuel price.

Lead / contact information. If you tap “Connect me with local EV dealers” and submit the form, we collect the name, email, phone, and preferences you provide, together with your home area, to connect you with dealerships (see §5).

Account identifier. The App creates an anonymous account on your device to secure your data. We do not require an email or password from you, and we do not collect an advertising identifier.

Diagnostics. Limited server logs for reliability and debugging. These do not include your precise coordinates and are retained for 30 days.

4. How we use information

  • Compute and display your EV Readiness score, map, and driving insights.
  • Generate a written summary of your score (an AI model receives only aggregated figures — e.g., average daily miles — never your name or raw GPS trace).
  • Connect you with dealerships when you request it (§5).
  • Maintain, secure, and debug the service.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising and do not sell it.

5. How we share information

  • Dealerships (only at your request). When you submit the “Connect me with dealers” form, we share the contact details and home area you provide with one or more local dealerships so they can follow up. This sharing happens only after you affirmatively submit that form; if you never submit it, nothing is shared.
  • Service providers. We use vendors to operate the App, who process data on our behalf under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, and the AI model that generates your score summary) and HERE Technologies (maps, geocoding, and nearby-charger/dealer search — map and address lookups send location coordinates to HERE). They may not use the data for their own purposes.
  • Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention & deletion

  • GPS points are used on a rolling 90-day window for scoring.
  • Diagnostic logs are retained 30 days.
  • You can delete everything from within the App: Profile → “Delete My Data.” Because your account is anonymous and tied to your device, the in-App control is how we reliably confirm the request is yours. Deletion erases your driving data, locations, profile, score history, any lead you submitted, and your account, typically within a few days. A minimal, non-identifying record (coarse location and aggregate counts — no name, email, or phone) may be retained as proof the deletion occurred. Residual copies in encrypted backups expire on our backup cycle. Step-by-step instructions are at proveev.com/data-deletion. For questions, contact [email protected].

7. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may request to know, access, delete, and correct their personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising — which we do not do. The dealer connection in §5 occurs only at your initiation. To exercise rights, use in-App deletion or contact [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). The database is private (not publicly reachable) and access requires an authenticated account. No method is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards.

9. Children

ProveEV is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be noted in the App and on this page with a new effective date.
